// software company · based in NL

We build
our own
software products.

Softwareloods is a small Dutch software company. We build our own products and stick around to run them for years.

// in the loods what's on the roadmap
  • Geoloods: adding maps and routing
  • Reisgierig: opening the iOS app to more travelers
  • Polderstack: gathering real world feedback

It's a small operation.

A few things you might want to know about how it actually works around here.

// 01

We've been at this a while.

Fotoloods went live in 2016. It's still running, still maintained, and we expect that to be true in 2036 too.

// 02

You'll talk to the person building it.

If something breaks or you have a question, you're emailing whoever actually wrote the code, not a support queue.

// 03

We work small.

It's a small team on purpose, and the portfolio stays small for the same reason. Four products maintained properly beats forty half-abandoned ones.

// 04

No five-year plan.

No investors, no plan to get bought. We build what we want to use ourselves and charge enough to keep doing it.

A loods steers ships. We steer software.

A loods is Dutch for the harbor pilot who steers ships through the tricky parts. Same idea here, just with software: get it from rough idea to something people can rely on, then keep it that way.

It's a small shop: a handful of products, built and run by the same people who answer the support email. If something breaks at night, we're the ones who get the page.
