We build
our own
software products.
Softwareloods is a small, independent Dutch software company. We design, build, and run a portfolio of products we own.
A small portfolio. Each one ours, end-to-end.
We build software we want to run for a long time. New products graduate from idea to live slowly. Once live, they stay.
fotoloods
liveEmbeddable photo upload, viewing, and moderation for content sites. A powerful CMS handles the rest.
geoloods
liveLightning-fast geocoding API. Geonames data, kept current. Maps and routing on the roadmap.
reisgierig
liveA travel map for where you've been and where you're going next. Stats, journal entries, followers. iOS and web.
polderstack
in planningAn EU-sovereign PaaS. Push code, get a running app, on infrastructure that stays in Europe.
- Geoloods: adding maps and routing
- Reisgierig: opening the iOS app to more travelers
- Polderstack: shaping the foundations
It's a small operation.
A few things you might want to know about how it actually works around here.
We've been at this a while.
Fotoloods has been live since 2016. We're planning on 2036 too. Software is a long game.
You'll talk to the person building it.
When something breaks or you want to ask a question, you're writing to the same people who wrote the code. We like it that way.
We work small.
It's a small operation by choice. The portfolio stays small for the same reason. We'd rather run a few things well.
No five-year plan.
We're not raising, not exiting, not building toward an event. We make software we like, for people who like it back. That's enough.
A loods steers ships. We steer software.
In Dutch, a loods is the pilot who guides ships safely through tight waters. That's the job here too: take software from rough idea to live product, and keep it on course for the long run.
We're a small shop. A handful of software products that we built and run ourselves. We answer our own email, write our own code, and keep our own things up when they need it.
Based in the Netherlands NL, with users across Europe and beyond.
